We are seeking candidates for the WGPO board for the 2024-2025 term. Being on the WGPO board is a terrific way to make an impact on competitive Scrabble. This year, the board’s efforts led to these accomplishments and more:
- An updated website
- Accepting credit cards and Venmo, making it easier for players to register
- More rated games and tournaments, including the terrific Crescent City cup in 2023 and Word Cup in Albany in 2023
We continue to work to provide opportunities to play the game we all love. We’re looking for people who can help us grow our membership and provide opportunities to play this game!
We will try to reach candidates for this election through email, the Facebook group and an announcement on our website. We have three 2-year positions and one 1-year position. Some incumbents will be running again.
